Two weeks after our time together and life is again searching for a pulse. Some have gone back to jobs, some seek school, others are volunteering or vacationing. The common thread that weaves us all together is the memory of our shared encounters along the road.
The Great Commission of Jesus was clear to tell us that as we go, wherever we go, we are to gather others to follow Him. The mission begins for each of you now.
The mission was not about our time along the road. That was simply a time for you to encounter Jesus. I hope that you had some "God moments" that still bind your heart. Life as a follower of Jesus isn't about the intense weeks of service, but it is about how we live our lives in the gap.
In those times of waiting, of abiding, of working boring jobs, or searching for direction. Those moments... these moments that you're each experiencing now... this is your mission. This is your, "along the way." So, teach, tell, live authentic lives that cause others to follow Him. Let His words be your believe and allow that belief to transform into action.
You have not returned home from a missions trip. You have returned back home to your mission. Don't get it twisted.
You are where God has placed you. He created you. Trust Him enough to believe that He knows what He's doing. It's not about where you are, it's about who is beside you. Jesus stands beside you. Surely He is all you need.
And so... go live your mission.

Ok crew... keep in touch. Geography separates us now... but the adventure continues. Feel free to post your updates here. I'll keep the blog open. -Shep
